Had a "break" with Melaka

Feel so bored reading lecture notes about Sensory Evaluation. Suddenly feel like wanna eat laksa. Oh, I wanna eat Nyonya Asam Laksa of Melaka!!

Let's take a break...........

I went to Melaka last month. To get some food I did not have the chance to eat and visit places I did not have time to visit during the last time I went there. Click here to see my previous visit to Melaka. Haha...had lot of fun with my best ever friends!

Okay let’s talk about the visiting part first!

To keep an empty stomach before a large food intake, there’s a good thing we suppose to do, which is burn calories! BURN BURN BURN! (haha, this makes me think of Handelababy..;P )

Went to Butterfly farm, to see how butterflies eat pineapples fly in the sea of flowers.

I wonder why there’s CROCODILES in the butterfly farm. CROCODILES crawl, they don’t fly isn’t it?

Also went to Giant B Bee Farm to see honeybees’ hives and try varieties of honey drinks

Next to the bee farm is Taman Mini Malaysia and Mini Asean, where you can see traditional Malay house of each states in the country.

This is mine.

Mini Asean was still under-renovate. But I walked in also, with another two women, seeing those Thai house and Philippines house were destroyed. Badly collapsed.

Melaka Zoo is boring me. I will only rate 3 out of 10. The zoo is kind of dirty, shed by trees making the zoo dark, and the animals were like simply put in a zone...don’t know la. I just don’t like it.

See, the Asian Elephant is so dirty. I thought it should be grey, but it’s in muddy color. Or am I wrong?

So I sincerely filled in the suggestion form, hoping for improvements of Melaka Zoo.

Walked for 4 hours, physical activities boosted up so much and calories burnt for sure. Hungry hungry! My stomach is 100% ready for foods now!

So I headed to Jonker88 which I anticipate about it very much. It was closed during the last time I went. Lalalalala, The Nyonya Asam Laksa and Baba Rendang Chicken Noodle were mind-blowing!!!!

Aiya....I hate my hair-style!!

Ils sont superbe délicieux. This French sentence means “They are superb delicious”. These two are probably the best food I had during this trip. It is extremely good!

Baba Durian Chendol and Mango Ice-Kacang also very nice!!!! There are 2 possible reasons for these delicious food, either they are really delicious or maybe I was too hungry!

Went for Hoe-Kee chicken rice ball this time.

Still a little bit bloody!! Er-hem...food safety problem!

Mmm...I couldn’t taste the different, ok-ok. Also went to Famosa Chicken rice ball, not for the food, but the emperor hall, dynasty costume and the historic building. Those MyFM DJs shoot their music video of CNY here!

Went for Nadeje’s Mille crepe. It’s actually layered pancake. Not bad, good choice for hi-tea, but kinda expensive. Below are the butter and chocolate flavor one.

After so much of eating, I’m so full. To get enough stomach spaces for dinner, what can we do? What did I tell you just now? Yes, BURN BURN BURN calories!! So, walk by Christ Church

then climb up the hill for St Paul’s Church and full view of Melaka city

then walk down to the ground to take a picture with A Famosa. If you think that’s not enough, do some shopping in the malls.
Then go to Jonker Street for a walk and had some snacks.

My last meal before leaving Melaka was satay celup from Capitol again. Still nice to eat, but I swear I don’t wanna eat it again for coming one year!! I just feel bored with it already, but it is definitely a good try for everyone.

I guess, this trip was more to a food trip right? Hehehe! :D

I don’t know how much calories and weight I had gained on that day. Definitely a lot and that’s the reason why I am so fat right now. Hehe :)

Okay, time to back to the notes! Fighting achhhaaaa~~~~ q^o^p

A Famosa Aloha Summer

Since I’ve never been to A Famosa, so we take this opportunity to have a 2D1N getaway at A’Famosa Resort. And I’m looking forward to the Animal World Safari and its unique Cowboy Town. We went there on a weekday to avoid long waiting time and huge crowd! Yeah~ I hate waiting!!

We reached A Famosa Resort in the afternoon and we started our journey from the Animal World Safari. We were welcomed by these beautiful creatures!!

Actually no personal photographing of this parrot is allowed, but I managed to take one...bluek!

We went to the chicken farm, and enjoyed the walk through area. I touched the pony, deer, sheep, see monkeys, ducks, flamingos etc etc etc, haha...I love watching animals!!

baa baa sheep..they dont eat actually, i just itching them

After that we headed for the first show, the Wild Wild West. The show was funny with stupid actions and conversations between the cowboys, Red Indians and the clown. The action gimmick and loud explosion of guns was great!!

shoot his bleeding nose..piang*

Right after the Wild Wild West, we head to the Multi Animal Show. It’s bored with the animals playing dead, playing mini basketball, throw rubbish, etc. actually I felt sad for these animals. They lost freedom and forced to be trained just to get foods and entertain people.. If I could speak animal language, surely I will ask how they feel, seriously~ Somehow, the emcee of this Multi Animal Show impressed me a lot. He’s very sporting and he shakes and moves with the music!

We went for the bird show then. Again, the parrot was forced to draw. Its drawing worth Rm10 for each!!!!!! I enjoyed the show as it was very special. I was excited when the pigeons and eagles were flying low above our head but my friend was very scared as she hates flying creatures!
Oh yea, not forgot to mention, I get a special gift from the pigeons!! Haha..one of them 'drop feather' while flying and the feather dropped beside my leg...then I just pick it up and owned it loooo =P

We went to Monkey Island before the Elephant Show. We went there by a raft, I think it’s dangerous because the water can flow into the boat and caused imbalance. Monkeys here climb trees and roam freely and this blackie wanted to take my feather!!!! So naughty~

The elephant show had already started when we back from Monkey Island. The elephants ride bicycle, catch up with football fever, hug visitor with trunk, and play disco by shaking their head and trunk...wahahaha!!! lawak betul~ Another funny thing of the elephant show was two visitors from Iraq were offered massage from the elephant, front and back~ I wonder how the guy feels when Amoi is massaging his ‘precious’! Amoi was so gentle and cute. I guess he is pretty much enjoyed the massage. Erhem...wei...Amoi is the elephant!

kick kick kick

We immediately headed for the truck station for the Safari ride. We all are protected in a caged truck, watched horses, giraffes, zebras, lions, tigers, bears, camels, deer, ostriches, etc. Well, I think it’s not ‘wild’ enough, the animals seem very lazy and too tame. I had a dream that I could explore the wild in a gateless jeep, close with the wild creatures that I could almost touch them, some day in the future. Yea, South Africa can fulfill my dream!!!

the route to safari is a bumpy one

i wonder were they already being tranquillized
We then headed to check into our condotel. Our house has 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a kitchen, dining area and a living room. It was bigger than we expected, with nice view from the balcony. I give the condotel 4 out of 5, for better improvement..hehe.. After shower and a short rest, we had our dinner at nearby town, Tampin for Chinese dinner as food in A Famosa was a little too expensive and not attractive. The food in Tampin was great and in reasonably price.

i slept here..the whole bed

Well, night time is the time for Cowboy Town!!
I gone mad for Red Indian show and carnival...ROCK!!!!! We were late, therefore we seated quite far away and I didn’t manage to take good pictures of the fire eater. The emcee was the one I like the most, the guy from the Multi Animal Show. He danced with the background music and he gave great introduction.

Actually I don’t know what’s in the Red Indian show, it was like playing with fire only! Aha, the Red Indian guys aka fire eaters were those who act in the Wild Wild West show..and I met the fair-and-macho Red Indian!!! HE RECOGNIZED ME~~

While waiting for the carnival to start, bunch of Irans danced with the Arabic songs on the runway. I guess the management gave them special offer to entertain foreign tourists~ It was quite fun to watch them, and I decided to change my seat to another side for better view. Yeah, I did it correct. There came elephants and snakes for photoshooting and feeding, to earn money a~

Thanks to some kind ladies! They actually bought sugarcanes to feed the elephants, RM4 for each packet of 4 stems. When one of them fed the second stem, she was too scared about the elephant trunk, and she threw the packet to me and asked me to take it!!
“I don’t want to play already, you take it! Just take it!”
I was like har?!!what happened, tiba-tiba...”
“Take it, take it!!”
“Ooooookay, thank you!”
Lucky me get free chance to feed an elephant! Woohoo =P after the elephant grabbed the sugarcane, it squat a little and knot its head and trunk as thanks, I touched its trunk and terkena its snot...aaarrr...wet~ okay nvm!! Elephants are cute anyway!!

Then the carnival started. Monkeys on bicycles, ponies, dogs, chickens, ducks, elephants and even birds were parading in front of us. The Red Indians, dancers, Mak Nyahs (ahkua) , and performers were in it too. We danced with Mak Nyahs, wow..they really dance very very well..shake shake shake!!
He's giving me a flying kiss~
Ooopsss...lost balance because of too big
Elephants are shaking head with the disco music

The cute Red Indian guy I mentioned earlier spotted us (perhaps me only), and he came to me and pose for photo! He too specially performed to us (again, perhaps to me only) And I also played with another naughty Red Indian guy.

yea..he recognized me =P
He came to us, and I took his ‘big axe’ and played with him. Both us like real natives, trying to scare away each other with ‘weapon’ in hand..just imagine AVATAR!! He cheated, he then took out another ‘knife’ and put it beside my neck, my ‘big axe’ couldn’t frighten him away...okay, I surrender!! Hahaha...fun fun fun! My friends all said I’m very ‘guai-lan’ and playful..hahaha..bluek!! who cares..as long as I had fun, I’m happy~
spot his knife..that's pretty look like a real one!!
The carnival ended with fireworks display at the end of the runway. It makes a very stunning night sky!! I remember the last time I see such a long beautiful fireworks display so close was like 4 years ago..such a long time ago~
ahhhhhhhhh!!!! screaming while capturing this..( i know it's just so-so)
It was a much needed break for me. It’s been a long time I kept depression and dissatisfaction in my heart, deep inside. I took the opportunity to shout out when the fireworks burst, hehe..so that nobody can listen!! Even it was just for a day, this trip helps in getting myself recharged...I feel good now...Thanks to my ever best friends!!!

cheer =P
