Finally I am now sitting on my lovely sofa, sipping lemon water and start to write while my mom is watching our favorite TV show ‘100% Entertainment’. Assignments and research proposal? Oops...just put them aside!
I have a 2 weeks raya break! But the lucky me got another extra one week holiday due to no lecture anymore. Instead of going home, I took a vacation to paint my days.
Me and my “samseng” gang member SuHuey followed my lovely friend, ShauYing back to Negeri Sembilan as our first destination.
When we reached Seremban, it was 5 in the morning. Due to some funny incident, we missed the earliest bus to Titi. But we make the bus terminal become merrier by playing with this music player.
Insert one 50 cent, then choose the song you want, watch the music video and listen the song!! There we attract more people to use the machine and liven the bus terminal~ haha :)
After an hour, we reached Titi. Titi is a small town near Kuala Klawang aka Jelebu, Negeri Sembilan. It has a cute Chinese name, Zhi-Zhi-Gang. To reach Titi, the road is not a smooth highway. It is a winding mountainous road like Genting Highlands, like “9 bends 13 curves”….. I fell in love with the forested hills along the way to Titi. The mountainous scene is so beautiful. So green, with some mist~
Titi is famous with its local snack known as “Ma Zi Cheng”. It is very similar to “Sart Keh Mah”, the famous Bidoh biscuits. There are many different types of “Ma Zi Cheng” which has a crispy bite and tastes different, like almond, yuin-yiong, rice cookie, peanut…
Went to Muzium Adat. Same as the others museum, history inside, but with a special segment on the Adat Perpatih. I’m happy to see the real Minangkabau building!!!
Then we head to Titi Eco-farm Resort. That is an organic farm and resort. BUT, we couldn’t enter the farm because we didn’t make any reservation. Mm..next time I will go again!!
It’s been a long time since the last time I went to waterfall. We decided to go to Jeram Toi and Jeram Gading.
In Jeram Toi, You will see family having picnic, children swimming and playing with water, some people even shampoo their hair in the pool!! It has 4 tiers of beautiful falls. We climb up to the top fall. Wow…really fantastic and very refreshing~ I wish I could have jungle trekking there!!
Jeram Gading is believed that elephant tusks were found here a long time ago. It is not so popular compared to Jeram Toi. Large rocks, suspension bridge and rapid stream, with only 3 of us!! Am I in the wrong place??
What’s a trip to Seremban without their famous Seremban Siew Pow? Although I can also get Siew Pow in Anson, still have to try in the origin place right?! Siew Pow is my favourite! I love it love it love it~~~ Very delicious when it is still hot and fresh from the oven.
Also we went to another small town “Xiao Gan Mi” to have Liang Ji Fish Head Mihun...ok-ok lor! But it was once awarded the best Fish Head Mihun of year 2007.
Now I wanna introduce a special Hakka kuih, Cu Ye Ban (Rami Oh Ku Kuih).
I never see this kuih before, because I’m not a Hakkanese?! Shauying’s mom specially made this for us!!
The kuih is in black, with black sesame seeds inside, and underlie with Rami leaves. Dark juice from Rami leaves give black color to the kuih. The kuih is sweet while the texture is about similar to “Ang Ku Kuih”, soft and chewy. *Thumbs up*
We stayed in a small village near Titi named Sg. Muntuh, where Shauying lives. This town was invaded by the Japanese during World War II. There were thousands of people killed cruelly. So sad~
This town is so simple and peaceful. No car on the road, only motorbikes and bicycles. Everywhere is greens, air is fresh. Days in this small forested hill town is simple and relaxing. I really love the lush greenery! I think, this is the perfect place to run away from the noise and dust for mind relaxing. I will visit Titi again…for Titi EcoFarm Resort!!
And I will visit Seremban again…for Seremban Siew Pow!!!! Ngek-ngek~
