It was the fourth day in Bangkok. We checked out from Khao San and went to Damnoen Saduak Floating Market. It took about 2 hours to reach there. I was the lucky one who took a cab with another 4. The rest were so pity...11 of them squeezed into a 7 seater car for more than 4 hours (go and return), some more full-loaded with luggage in the boot and also on top. swt~
Like this.
On the way to Damnoen Saduak, we had a funny conversation with the cab driver, Nana. He can speak and understand easy English, but most of the time he misunderstood us! We asked this, he answered that, yet it was still funny. He also taught us some easy Thai. Like soi-mak-mak is very pretty, kalo-mak-mak is very handsome, and wuan-mak-mak is very round!! It means fat larrr~
It was a long long journey, so after a while, the rest were all slept. When I started to feel sleepy and closed my eyes, Nana said we are going to reach the floating market in about 5 minutes. Alaaaa...ish ish ish!!!

Our boat
We were in a motorboat, instead of the wooden boat which rowed.
On the way to the floating market
like sailing on a longkang besar
Here we reached the floating market
As we travelled down the longkang besar canal, met traffic jam. The boats bumped into each other.
So the business was on water, in the boat, and also at the side of the longkang besar canal. There are souvenirs, clothings, accessories, shoes, and food of course. You can just stop at the side of the canal if you wanna buy.
i saw my favourite shio-bak!! Roasted pork~
I also don’t know why we didn’t stop there to walk on foot. Perhaps because this is an education trip, we have to stop at some where related to us, like coconut sugar factory farm.
Here we can see how they produce coconut sugar by using traditional method and also coconut oil.
Then, the journey ended. Bored hor? I also think so. The special part is just the business is on water.
This is the last post of Bangkok trip. (Sob sob T_T) It was actually a great trip and we were lucky and grateful that the lecturers gave trust and freedom for us to explore the beautiful city by own. However, I did not get to see Wat Pho and Wat Arun. Nevermind. These two wat are already in my must-go list for the second time to Bangkok in the future.
