New Zealand? Australia? NO! It’s UK Farm in Malaysia!

Do you ever have a dream to watch flocks of sheep grazing on very greenish grassland with white-painted fences and a sunshine blue sky?

Feel to fly to Australia or New Zealand to watch this scenic view?

You don’t need to fly anymore! Just take a bus or drive down to Kluang, Johor.

Tah-dah! Introducing UK Farm.

Let me tell you 10 things to do in UK Farm.

1. Take a mini bus farm tour, visit the farm factory and organic farm

2.Walk in the sheep farm, feed and catch the little sheep!

3.Milk the hungry little sheep

4.See how the sheepdogs shepherd the sheep

5. Feed the ostriches

6. Stroll under the shady cover of passion fruit trees, pick and taste the fruits.

7.Take pictures like crazy. Walk on the grassland, crawl on it, and sleep on it!

8.Make a wish to “Good Luck Goat”, the guardian of UK Farm. It's Jamnapari Goat. Pass under it, shyly touch its “ding-dong”, and good luck will follow you!

9.Test passion fruit juice and goat milk muffin.

10. Visit UK Farm Mart. UK Farm has its own produced goat milk body shampoo, lotion, genuine goat-skin handbags and wallets, and also passion fruit products such as jam and juice.

You can also take part in other activities like taking ride in horse cart, watch performance from Orang Asli, join belly dance and others fitness exercises. Also camping, BarBeQue and karaoke in the night.

BY THE WAY, you may plan your future wedding photoshoot and wedding ceremony in UK Farm. I’m sure it will be extremely artistic and romantic!

Yeah!! UK farm is really an ideal destination for everyone to get closer to the greens and relax minds. Take a chance to get yourself there! but make sure...you don't have a sensitive nose, because it is kinda smelly! =D

A place where there is a floating hand chiselling a rock

This is the coolest landmark I've ever seen.

A floating hand chiselling a rock?!

This is Batu Pahat

It’s my first time to visit Batu Pahat, again!

Batu Pahat town is quite busy. Once we reached Batu Pahat, we went to eat wantan mee. At first I don’t know why must I try the Johor style wantan mee and what’s the different? ahhh…then I know! wantan mee here is without dark soy sauce and it’s mixed with chili sauce. Not bad!

Then we headed to Kluang for UK Farm. I’ll tell you more about UK Farm in the next post. UK farm is really very fun!!

We leave UK Farm by the evening, and from there we move on to a small village by the sea, Pantai Minyak Beku, Segenting.

There are plenty of temples. The one which attract me a lot is this Palace of Sea Dragon! I guess the villagers here want to pray to the dragon king for safety at sea.

The famous attraction of this small village is there is one thing that can bring fortune!

What’s that?

Nah…that’s it!

This is the small one, there’s two giant arapaima fish above in a man-made pool. I was told that tourists purposely come here to touch the two giant arapaima fish for good luck and win win win when buy numbers!

I stand around the pool for minutes and trying to attract the fish to me, but failed!!! The fish was not moving at all. Herm…no luck~

This is the Lover’s Bridge. But I was told that if the couples walk on this bridge from the head till the end, their relationship will no longer lasting and break up! Huh…I wonder how it got the name~ I walked till the end, and luckily he is somewhere else…

We went for seafood dinner at this Ship Village Restaurant. It’s designed like a ship, facing the sea, but really smelly!! We had crabssss and some kind of mussel (maybe I call it “The Giant LALA).

All the things above sound nice and interesting, right?

No no no~ The best thing of Batu Pahat is the fried Nian-Gao (kuih bakul aka rice-cake)!! It’s truly crispy and tasty~ I love it very very very muchiiiiieee!

 Ha ha ha ha!

After this very enjoyable trip, I gain much weight!!! NOW I AM VERY FAT!!!!!grrrrrr...:(

Makan-makan in Muar

After much long planning, I finally have a chance to visit Johor.

After a day in Seremban, I move on to my next destination, Muar. Forget Namewee and TNB in Muar, I went there for a makan-makan trip.

It’s already afternoon when I reached Muar. My lovely tour guide/course-mate/friend picked my friends and I up and head to Parit Jawa for Assam Pedas!! Hmm…I wonder how many Parit are there in the town. I saw all the places start with Parit XXXX. Haha!

Parit Jawa is a small fishing village, I guess. We can see fishing boats by the sea and we had our Assam Pedas Fish, Sotong and prawn, and the dunno-what’s-its-name fried fish in a food court near to the sea. Hmm…assam pedas is very appetizing, very delicious!! Too bad I’m allergic to seafood, couldn’t taste the sotong and prawn. Grrrrr…

Then we went for Johor’s famous Otak-otak. Otak-otak is made by fish paste with a mixture of spices, wrapped in a leaf, then grilled. It is in a fishy smell, soft and slightly spicy. Eat warm makes the Otak-otak taste better.

Anyway, after this trip, I not gonna have Otak-otak anymore for the year. Eat too much and a little bit phobia to it already lar…

Before we arrived at the popular food street Tan-Chi-Jie, I thought it will be very very crowded, but…we could only find 4 stalls!! Huh?! Why oh Why? Sigh…we visit Muar on the wrong day due to the people there is celebrating the Ghost Month and most of them do not open stalls. Ish~ disappointed!

Since our stomach is still very full, we went to Tanjung Emas for a walk. Then we went for Thai food at Long Poh Restaurant. This shop is famous for its Thai White Steamed Fish and Fried Kangkung.

(We didn’t order Thai White Steamed Fish, this is….forgot the name already)

We also tried Char Kuey Teow, cendol ice, dimsum, and many other delicious foods in Muar. Forgive me for not taking the pictures as I can’t wait to eat them!! Hehe

Along the way in Muar, I discover something special about Johor.

First, most houses have extended long TV receiving antenna on the roof. It is really long and tall till can scratch the sky!!!! I was told that this is because they wanted to get Singapore TV. Is that legal?

Second, bus stops in Johor are designed in trishaw shape!

Third, streets in Muar town are color coded. Shops in different street are painted in its specific color like red, blue, yellow, white…etc. Don’t worry that you lost in the town! Just recognize the color.

Muar is special, isn’t it?
