Staying in hostel has its good and bad. One of the very inconvenient is no internet connection in the room. Although we can use wifi in open café, it’s very unstable and sometimes can’t even grab 1kb. So I wake at 3am in the morning, go to the café and surf till the sun rise.
Yes! I know it’s very unhealthy.
So I decided to subscribe to Celcom Youth Plan for broadband access and I get one from PC Fair. I should be using the broadband right now to surf freely, to chat day and night, to blog whenever I want to write, to update with happenings in the world...and to GOSSIP
No, I’m NOT!!
This stupid Celcom don't want me to be their customer!
Day after I subscribe to it, i couldn’t connect. So I phoned Celcom Careline and told that my account is not activated yet.
So I waited for another 24hours, still couldn’t connect...while my friend who subscribed on the same day had accessed it since the first day. Then I phoned the dealer, told that the system is fine and should be perfect. He asked me to check the SIM card. How lucky I am to see this message “SIM card is not verified”
So he concluded that he gave me a damaged SIM card "unintentionally" and asked me to get a replacement from Celcom centre.
Searching location via Google map, asking friends around where the hell is Celcom centre, finally I got it.
Celcom lady said: " Cannot give you a new SIM card because the old one is okay"
Dealer man said : “ Err..SIM card should be ok, I think the antivirus software you use block it already la, you try to remove your antivirus”
This is really pissed me off and it's a very stuuuupid solution!
I asked the man : “ So now you say the SIM card is ok, then why yesterday you told me you gave me a damaged one UNINTENTIONALLY?! And now you blame it to the antivirus I used, that’s ridiculous, I can’t accept this excuse! ”
Then I throw the phone back to the Celcom lady. After a little argument between both parties and checked the system, finally they found the problem. That’s the dealer’s fault. They registered a wrong SIM card. Now the lady replace it with a new one. I should be happy right??!
No, I’m not AGAIN!
Day after I insert my new SIMcard, still can't access the connection.
Damn stupid Celcom!
Call Celcom Careline again, told that “Your request is in process, please be patient and wait for some hours”
Ok fine. Nevermind...
So I "patiently" waited for another 24 hours, and I tried at KL and Anson, but still not work!!
With anger, I walked out to Celcom centre in Anson and asked for termination. This customer service representative told me that both SIM cards which assigned to me are invalid, which means the dealer man registered a wrong one at the first time, then the Celcom lady in KT registered a wrong one for me, too!
Damn it!! what stupid system was this?!
"wa...like this also can ar? What are they doing actually?"
"They are CARELESS!"
She tried to convince me not to terminate and promise that I can use it right after another new SIM card replacement.
Then I told her: “This is the 6th day I subscribe to your company’s broadband, I get nothing from you but troubles. I don’t think I want it anymore. I can’t afford to another CARELESS mistake. Please terminate it and return me the registration fee. ”
I am really disappointed with Celcom broadband service. Not to mention about the speed or data transfer rate, but the customer service is real lame.
Although hostel’s wireless service is unstable, but still it is better than nothing to go online…should appreciate it~
So the fancy modem stick is not with me anymore. What left with me are the gifts I get when I subscribe to the plan.
Who want? Just drop me a message!
