Pulau Redang Getaway @ Day 1

Finally, I made my first step on the Redang Island after 3 years studying here in Terengganu. Only 3 of us went together. All are Perak-ian, all are samseng kaki~

Since we were already staying here in Terengganu, the resort bus came to our house to pick us up and headed to Merang Jetty. Then we went to the island by speedboat. Perhaps I was too bored with sea and boat riding, I felt sleepy when the others were so excited with the surging sea wave and strong wind.


Finally we were in the island. The sea is so crystal clear and beautiful~

We stayed in Redang Pelangi Resort for 3 days 2 nights. After a short briefing, we checked-in our room.

This is ours. The room is quite large for 3 of us.

It can accommodate more people.

After our lunch, we went out to somewhere over the sea for our first snorkeling session. Actually, eventhough I can swim a little bit, I’m still nervous. Can’t believe I was the third person to jump into the sea. At first very steady one, some more can lead Isabelle, but I went terribly panic when the sea water sneaked into my goggle plus I couldn’t touch the bottom!!! Thanks to the sunblock I applied on my face. I thought I could overcome my phobia about being in the sea, but I failed. I was helpless. So Rocky became my backup lifeguard!! Ok, saw a lot of coral reefs and some colorful fishes. But I don’t think it’s nice~

After we backed to the shore, after we had a tea time, after we changed, we went to ‘explore the island’. We walked to another beach. Looked at others played beach volleyball, had a rest on the beach chair, jumped on the beach, raced on the beach, listened to the wave, splashed water to each other (so awkward), watched sexy ladies and hot guys walking on the beach………

We went to the must-go place, the More More Tea Inn. It makes me think of the movie and Richie Ren. It is now a souvenir shop. We also went to other resorts and had a nice chat with some divers. Well, I always hope I could get a diving license and I actually missed the previous diving course offered by my university…but now I start to doubt again my ability to fight my phobia about being under water! Sigh…….

There’s not much entertainment in the night. We went to Laguna Resort to watch live band singing session. We ordered some liquor and they taste like the mouth ulcer medication cream. Yiak~ gelinya! At the same time, we also enjoyed our time here. But then suddenly rain… the show stopped and we also backed to our resort after the rain stopped.

 

Our resort turned into a resort night club. The day-time life guard turned into a night-time DJ! Alaaaa… I saw people shaking shaking there. Me too, but in our aircond room! We had Heineken and ground nuts while facebook-ing with the people in mainland. and we had our own mini night club in the room. I was actually very tired that I felt asleep while waiting for the rain stop in the lobby of Laguna Resort! Then…..we slept!! Goodnight!
