eeeeePoh IPOH

When talk about Ipoh, few things come to my mind.

Ipoh Nga-choy-gai (bean sprout and chicken), Ipoh Chicken Hor-fun, Ipoh white coffee, Ipoh pomelo, Ipoh cave temples and Ipoh lengchai lenglui.

When I was in Teluk Intan, Ipoh is just 1½ hour away. If you can drive very fast, it only takes an hour. When I was a kid, parents brought me there to shop for nice pretty colorful new dresses. First, eat DimSum. Then go shopping. Then lunch. After lunch, go to Ipoh Old Town drink Ipoh Old Town white coffee. Then byebye. Before that, sometimes buy pomelo, sometimes chicken-curry-bread, sometimes salted-chicken.

When I was in high school, I went there with friends for bowling, movie (before TI has a cinema) and shopping during holidays, by bus!! It was a big group like about 15-20 people. I remember the time we chased for the town bus to back to bus terminal, begged bus driver to wait for the others who stuck in traffic jam. Hahahaha, those days when we were young!!! So bersemangat~

But I can’t remember did my parents bring me to any Ipoh caves before. Oh maybe I was too young at that time?

This time I don’t want others, I only want caves!!

Lovely tour guides Fang and Rocky brought me and Aminah Leong aka Princess Balak to Ming Court Dimsum. I’m not a dimsum lover, I just like Wu Kok (yam puff), Char Siew Bao, radish cake and Loh Mai Gai. Ha gao, siew mai, whatever gao whatever mai...no thanks!

The first cave is Kek Look Tong at Gunung Rapat.

There are stalactites and statues in the cave

There is a garden and a lake at the other side of the hill. Many elderly jogging here, and play badminton.

This place is very quiet and cool, making me feel sleepy~

All these look so cute.

Next is Perak Tong where the wall painting impressed me a lot.

No Dejavu in the cave. But I remember I “went” to a cave with water curtain (something like shui lian dong) in my dream. I don’t know how to say but it’s so real. I googled but can’t get it. Anyway, I’m sure one day I'll found it!

group photo in the car

good girl gone crazy/ki-siao/chi-sin
(actually I was trying not to be so sleepy =.=)

Next is Sam Poh Tong. Don’t know why they don’t want to go there after Kek Look Tong as the two caves are so near. Hahaha. BLUR! I guess the two blur guides like driving.

There's nothing special in the cave.
but it has a beautiful garden with a fish pond.

I like the landscape =)

It actually has a tortoise pond but I didn’t go because I was so hot and sweat like an open tap. Some more I was sleepy because of the quiet environment. Friends say the number of tortoise has reduced like left a few of them only.

That’s all for my half day cave trip in Ipoh.

Then I went back to KL Central by ETS train then back to Kajang by KTM Komuter.

Why they dont want to stop at Kajang anymore?

I never travel by intercity train before and this is my first ride

in Ipoh railway station

In the train. very new and clean.
The seat is very comfortable and air-cond is very cold too.

can watch Harry Potter some more

Faster and better than take bus lor!!! the best part is no traffic jam!

From Ipoh to KL central, it’s RM22 for a student (like me). But remember to use your own student card to buy because your name will be printed on the ticket. My friend used his card to buy for me. Then the lady came and asked for my ticket and student card.

"Sorry kak, ini bukan I sebab I suruh kawan tolong belikan tiket. Tapi I ada student card juga. Cuba tengok! Muka sama!"

So embarrassed! Luckily she didn’t kick me out of the coach. Haha!!!

Country roads take me home...to the place I belong~~ ('m singing =P)
